Christian Business Same As a Secular One?

First of all let me say: "a christian business should not be about the individual but rather, it's about the master's business". This alone makes it different right from day one...or at least it should be. Most business men apart from knowing the Master of business, are out for #1. Oh yes there are always exceptions. But even then, wouldn't you agree with me that those who do not know Christ have priorities that are about this world and not about the kingdom of God? In the book of Proverbs, scripture is clear with it's admonishment:" Labor not to be rich" chap. 23 verse 4...and again in Proverbs 28:22 '' He that hasteth (or is in a hurry) to be rich has an evil eye, and considereth not that poverty shall come upon him. How many businessmen, and yes Christian businessmen included, have greedily gone after the pursuit of wealth like a dog running after a bicyclistanxious to bite his teeth into his leg.

Whether you are in "networking", retail," working from home' or outside the home, as a Christian, your motive is that of trusting your heavenly Father for the results of your efforts primarily through prayer. There is no such thing as being in a hurry to be rich! You are an ambassador for Christ not a money hungry blood sucking living and breathing dollar bill worshiper. Even the currency we use states " in God we TRUST!! Away with the thinking that it's all about the Almighty dollar and not about the Master's business.

A great test would be for any businessman or woman reading this blog to honestly ask themselves if they could say Amen after reading this verse from The Master's Word found in Habakkuk chapter 3 and verse 17 & 18 "Although the fig tree shall not blossom, neither shall fruit be in the vines; the labour of the olive tree shall fail, and the fields shall yield no meat; the flock shall be cut off from the fold, and there be no herd in the stalls: Yet I will rejoice in the Lord, I will joy in the God of my salvation". This is where " the rubber meets the road" as far as where your heart is in business world...wouldn't you agree?
