| By Josie Gulliksen | Posted Feb 11th 2011 3:29PM 0 Comments ∨ dwayne the rock johnsonThe Rock is rocking and rolling in the troubled Florida real estate market. Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, the former University of Miami football player turned Hollywood action hero, motivational coach, and funnyman in movies, can add real estate investor to his varied resume. Johnson sold his home in Davie, Fla., for $1.18 million, below its $1.54 million asking price, but with plenty of upside to spare.

Johnson purchased the house in 2000 for $419,000.

"Dwayne has several properties both in Florida and California and may just be disposing of some assets," Realtor Marsha Edwards told AOL Real Estate. "The timing is right, and he got out with a huge profit."
